Jewel mdt
EPK
Self-driven, creative, and a daydreamer describes Jewel mdt. She writes acoustic pop songs in her “bedroom studio.” Her music can described if Taylor Swift and Mitski were in a writing session together and Cody Fry created the accompaniment. She finds inspiration wherever she goes and all the things she feels. In the summer of 2021, she was an Emerging Artist under the Canadian Musicians Co-operative, collaborating with local musicians and performed her original song “Slow Burn” live at the showcase in Barrie, ON. She enjoys storytelling in the form of music and often attend opec mics in downtown Toronto.
She recently graduated from the University of Waterloo wth a Bachelor of Arts from the Honours Arts (Music) and Business program. During her undergrad, she has taken the role as VP Finance for the UW Music Society, coordinating and organizing music-related events that student community can engage in. She hopes to pursue a career in the music business industry while continuing her passion in music composition.
With her voice and her bedroom piano, nothing stops her from composing new music.
